We're getting married!
joyfully invite you to our wedding celebration
June 7, 2025
 At Teahouse in Stanley Park

Our Story

We first met in 2008 at National Taiwan University through a volunteer group supporting children in rural communities. Bonded by a shared passion and a love for the same Taiwanese author, our conversations deepened as we spent time listening to music and getting to know each other.

We began dating in 2009, and over time, we’ve built a relationship grounded in friendship, laughter, and shared values. For the past nine years, we’ve been in a long-distance relationship — navigating time zones, life changes, and all the ups and downs that came with it. It hasn’t always been easy, but through it all, we chose each other, again and again.

In the fall of 2024, we got engaged in London — a beautiful beginning to the next chapter of our story. We’re so grateful to celebrate this moment with you.

We’ve named our tables after nature — Sky, Ocean, Mountain, and Forest — each representing a part of our journey and the people in our lives.
Can you guess which table you’ll be at?

  • Table 1 – Sky:
    Friends from California & Seattle

  • Table 2 – Ocean:
Family and Yuwen’s high school & college friends

  • Table 3 – Mountain:
    Taiwanese friends in Vancouver

  • Table 4 – Forest:
    Yuwen’s counsellor friends

Getting There

TRANSPORTATION
  • Driving:
When approaching the Third Beach area, please drive slowly and be careful not to miss the turn — missing it may require a long detour. Stanley Park Drive is a one-way road that loops counter-clockwise around the park, so extra attention is needed. Paid parking is available in front of the restaurant.

  • Public Transit:
Take the SkyTrain to Waterfront Station or Yaletown–Roundhouse Station, then transfer to an Uber or taxi for the easiest route to the venue. Please allow extra time for travel, as downtown traffic can be busy, especially on weekends.

ACCOMMODATION

Where to stay in Vancouver really depends on what areas you plan to explore. You could also consider spending one night in Whistler,  Victoria or Vancouver Island for a short getaway.

  • If you will be driving, consider staying in Westside Vancouver (e.g., Kitsilano, Kerrisdale, South Granville), East Vancouver (e.g., Mount Pleasant, Main Street), or Richmond (like a mini Chinatown).

  • If you’re not driving: Staying near a SkyTrain station is easier and more reliable. Major bus routes work well too! [See bus link]

  • Feel free to message me directly if you need help choosing!

Q & A

Will the ceremony be outside?

Yes! Please bring a light jacket just in case there is weather on the day!

Are children allowed at the ceremony?

Absolutely! We love kids and would be so happy to celebrate with your whole family. Just let us know in advance if you're bringing little ones so we can plan seating accordingly.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We invite you to be fully present with us in this special moment. Kindly keep phones and cameras tucked away during the ceremony—we’d simply love for you to be there with us. Afterward, feel free to capture the magic!

Can I bring a guest or a plus one?

As much as we’d love to celebrate with everyone, we’re only able to accommodate a limited number of guests. If your invitation includes a guest, their name will be listed. Thank you so much for understanding and supporting us!

Any recommendations for places to visit or food to try?

English Bay, Granville Island, and walks along False Creek are Tiffany’s favourites. A stroll through the forests of Stanley Park or Central Park is also wonderful — the trees are beautiful. Canada’s lakes are stunning, perfect for swimming, kayaking, or simply relaxing by the water. The gondola ride in Whistler offers breathtaking views (you might want to close your eyes when paying though!).

You can't miss dim sum! Vancouver is full of amazing international cuisines, including Vietnamese (love Anh and Chi & Lunch Lady!), Middle Eastern, tacos, Indian food, Little Italy, Korean BBQ in Koreatown, and casual North American spots like Cactus Club Café and Earls. There are also plenty of Taiwanese, Chinese, and Japanese options too.
Let us know if you’d like some recommendations!
